The U.S. Geological Survey says that Utah has nearly one-third of the nation's places with nipple in the name, with 29 such references.

I grew up in a place with a hill called, "Molly's Nipple." I always found it fun to hear old people drop Molly's Nipple into a conversation.

Then I had a girlfriend from another area, and found out that it has a Molly's Nipple too. And then the KSL story that I read this on mentioned another Molly's Nipple on Antelope Island. That Molly must have had an amazing set of knockers!

Just thought I'd point out that sexually repressed Utah really loves nipples.

My brother-in-law grew up 10 miles or so west of Manti, and in full view of "The Nipple." Perkiest mountain I ever saw.

Ah, yes, Mary's Nipple, East of Gunnison. I grew up near there in Fayette.

That was one of the ones that I knew of, and the other was in the south end of UT. County.

Having the geologic formations that Utah has, (Zion, Bryce, et al), I've noticed a lot of nipple-ish rock formations. So actually, kudos to the people who've were willing to "call it as they see it."

There is another Molly's Nipple in the Nucla/Norwood Colorado area.

in Oregon sits on the Columbia River. The rock formation was originally named "Cock Rock" by Lewis and Clark. But somebody decided that back in the day, when they said "cock" they really meant "rooster". No they didn't. Anybody who has seen it knows it doesn't look anything like a chicken. (Maybe a choking one, but not an actual one)

I didn't know that, and I have been to Rooster rock many times. Thanks for the history lesson. With the nudest beach right close, I think changing it back to Cock Rock would be good for business.

They converge near the pass, just before you begin the long, slow descent into Las Vegas.

I mentioned these two mountain ranges to my now-deceased FIL a few years back. He chuckled and said, "Yeah, it figures. Mormons just can't leave a virgin alone."

Beaverdick park just outside of Rexburg. We used to call it BeaverRichard park.

There's a "Squaw Tit" in Idaho's Lost River Range. It's fairly close to the mormon pioneer towns of May and Patterson.

There is a Mary's Nipple in Targhee Nat. Forest. That Nat. Forest covers several states; don't remember which one the peak is in. Lived in area 45 years ago. As I recall it used to be designated "St. Mary's Nipple" but Geographic Survey dropped the "Saint" part. Unlike the Mormon Church the old topo maps were not collected, burned, and replaced with updated ones.

I've hiked to the top of Mollies Nipple on the south end of Utah County a couple of times. It's a rough hike but the view is absolutely incredible when you get there.

Mollies Nipple is located at N40.00414 W111.72134 and an elevation of 6276 feet. From the West, the hike is about 0.6 miles (as the crow flies) and you rise 1355 feet. The "trail" is probably just over a mile. The route I thought was easiest was to go up Picayune Canyon just East of Spring Lake ( N40.00131 W111.73576 ). It takes you up behind Mollies Nipple but when you get on top you can cross over to Mollies Nipple with little difficulty. There aren't a lot of trails up there so if you're not careful, you can find yourself bushwhacking in the scrub oak.

There's a Molly's Nipple a few miles south of Blackfoot, Idaho, just off the highway. A friend and I hiked up there to fulfill a Boy Scout hiking requirement.
