So here's what we did

I posted about a week ago with the nephew/funeral drama and wanted to update everyone who so kindly read/posted.
We didn't go. No point.
So my dh went to the store and bought a bunch of white balloons. I printed out pictures of S. and we all wrote a note on them to him which I then attached to each balloon.
We went out in our front yard on a beautiful October afternoon and let them all go into the clear blue sky.
A sense of peace and calm has been with all of us ever since.
I had no regrets as I blew out the candle that we had lit for him that morning.
After the kids went to bed dh and I decided to share a smoke (not a usual thing, but once in a while...) and talk about life in general.
Conclusion: Life is Good.
