A temple Ordinance the church can't change, for now.

The church has apparently backed down from getting permission to ignore Heber City's Dark Sky laws after significant backlash from residents.

The church wants to change the ordinance to allow them to light up the Heber City Temple until 10PM.

Locals said nope.

No word if they'll try again.

Looks more and more like the church doesn't get everything it wants in Utah anymore.

According to a post on r/exmormon, church leadership sent out a request for local faithful members to appear at the hearing, to let the “hearers” of the hearing know that the church had lots and lots of support in re a night time beacon of holy temple light scorching the heavens.

Obviously, no such outpouring was manifest!

It almost makes one feel sorry for the church! First they get stuck with Rusty and Wendy, and now this,

It’s almost as if ghawd is pissed at the church!

He probably is! They keep changing the words to his special temple rituals and now, he doesn't know who is dead and who is alive when the paperwork floats up to his desk.
