Why are you asking us? You presumably listened to the show. Most of us did not. Why do you think he cried?

Hello Jerry.

I was puzzled. I've listened to dozens of his interviews and never heard him cry while thanking the guests at the end.

While I enjoyed hearing Abby's story of distancing herself from the church, it was rather vanilla. Carrie's story was a bit more intense.

But I have no clue what brought forth the tears. "Sometimes I sit in my basement and get sad . . . ."

I do see something very funny about him blubbering over Gabby, but I still warn against pulling a fast one on John - his drive for revenge knows no limits.

John is usually neutral in his podcasts. Meaning, not overly emotional. In watching this one, I think it's the context that hit home for him. They are talking about the need for people that leave the LDS church to find a common community that they can confide/interact with.
He appears to be sincere and honestly wanted to let his guests know they are making a difference by speaking up. I see nothing wrong with his emotion and applaud all his efforts and devotion to these podcasts. They are making waves and it's great to watch it all unfold.

Are you being sarcastic, or do you have evidence for this claim?

I had to look up who Abby Huntsman was. Recently became a news anchor on Fox. So I will probably never see her.

I'm going to throw a party. Peter recently became the publisher of the Salt Lake Tribune, but he's still a TBM.

Abby used to be on MSBC's "The Cycle," but most of the daytime pundits were cashiered in a corporate reorganization where NBC brought back a hack from the 90's in an attempt to bolster ratings.

I'm afraid if I say more about Abby's politics, I'll risk deletion; suffice to say she gives me gas...

Paul, not Peter, is the new publisher. Paul is younger than Peter.

John's a good guy and it was an interesting episode-Especially interesting when your familiar with the Huntsman family as many of us are.FYI-I don't know any of them personally.

Thank you very much, Margie, for the link. I'm glad I opened and watched it from beginning to end. I seldom give myself time enough to do such a thing on this board, and I'm almost always grateful when I do.

What is especially valuable about this podcast is that it is very mormon friendly. It is something that can be shared with family and friends who are still quite deep into LDSinc. This is what I am going to do now.

Thank you,

Human

It's becoming obvious to me at least that John is looking very tired, even with his big smile you can see the strain in his face and the body language reads like that of an spread too thin.

I didn't know who she was so I looked her up--scandalous bare shoulders in half the pictures!
