As we begin a new program year we look forward to seeing as many of you as possible, especially since it was decided to start a month earlier than usual. Our first gathering will take place this coming Sunday, September 3rd, at the regular time of 2 P.M. and at our new location in Holiday Square, 195 W. 900 S. (just across the street to the south from the hotel we used to meet in).
Our program will consist of a panel of four discussing the late apostle Boyd K. Packer--his career, personality and teachings. One panel member had a personal acquaintance with the late apostle, and the others have long been observers and students of this controversial leader. We will take a close look at some of his speeches, including the notorious "The Mantle is Far, Far Greater than the Intellect" and "The Arts and the Spirit of the Lord." The discussion will include private correspondence and other insider examinations of Packer's policy and pronouncements. There will be time for questions and comments from all of you, and your comments will be welcomed.
As always, we will conclude with refreshments and social mingling. Bring your friends and join us for a lively discussion.
