I found RfM by accident in 2008. Since then this board and all of you have been a large part of my exit from mormonism.

Thank you Eric K for making this available to us.

I'm playing the long game, still go to sacrament meeting with DW. I follow that up with a pleasant two hours at the Church of Home Depot while waiting for her.

I recently hit a big number birthday. I have fewer days ahead than behind. I have no more time to waste on things that offer no return. The mormon church has nothing more to keep my interest. I have found rich and fulfilling things to replace it.

RfM has made a difference in my life. Through the contributions of all of you I have confirmed my doubts, verified rumors, and learned a lot.

Thus equipped I go out into the world with a smile on my face, the future yet unwritten.

Thank you!
Kim Marks

Its a scary world without religion but atleast its reality hopefully you are past the point of needing one good luck through the remainder of your days.

Go to a movie if you can find a good one too. Home depot browsing for 2 hours ....

You can do better than that.

I dunno, Home Depot has a lot of cool stuff. If you're lucky, there might be a class going on.

My story is very similar to yours, except no one got married in the temple. We are all out now. But I wish I had known so I could have raised them in a more mainstream tradition.

Well done on growing beyond this forum. Happy to see another move on with their life.

I've always said there is only so many times you can go round in circles on forums like this before it become counter productive.

Have an awesome life!

Enjoy.

Congratulations!

Flushing Mormonism out of your life seems difficult at first, but, eventually, being cult-free becomes your routine, your habitual lifestyle.

Stay strong, and someday maybe your wife and kids will break free, too.

I join you in thanking Eric and RFM!
