And I agree:

http://www.patheos.com/blogs/friendlyatheist/2017/10/03/this-mormon-wrote-the-worst-response-so-far-to-the-las-vegas-shooting/

To save you the trouble:

"If the victims in the Las Vegas incident were observing the Sabbath day, they would have been safe."

Wow.

Proof.

The Lawrd works in mysterious ways.

(And is dependent on assholes to punish sinners)

Thanks Mormon guy who knows things.

Is The Sabbath measured by the clock or by sunset to sunset?

Several years ago, there was a woman in my area who was shot in the parking lot of a Mormon church on her way into Sunday meetings. How would this Mormon respond to that? Sheesh...some people.

I have a rough idea hoe Jesus may have answered. He was about to heal a blind min and his disciples asked if he was blind for his own sins or of his ancestors. Jesus said "neither, it is just the way of the world"

You know those gun laws the US doesn't have. They are more relevant.

gun laws don't prevent people adapting their guns to fire more rapidly, neither does being a gambler or property developer teach you the skills required to do the same. Someone inexperienced with guns couldn't adapt them either. Alleged perp either lived a double life or had assistance.

The official story sounds like a mormon explanation: full of holes and changing enough to contradict the earlier story(ies).

You can trust the authorities, they'd never lie to you; pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.....

I followed this story yesterday and his name appeared on some other links, I won't post it. But I did notice that his name is no longer showing on Facebook. Not sure what that means.

His hashtag is just...

Because your sabbath day is Sunday, it doesn't mean my sabbath day is Sunday as well. My cousin lives with her family in the UAE and their Sabbath day is Saturday cause the weekend is Friday and Saturday and Sunday is a normal work day.

It's a very ignorant comment

http://www.gendisasters.com/wyoming/431/laramie,-wy-area-airplane-crash,-oct-1955

This plane crashed with five members of the MTC and they were
Returning from performing in a church sponsored concert. I also remember when a plane went Down filled with Mormon BYU fans returning to Utah from a game.

Missionaries dying and murdered while on their mission. Doing the Lords work

The MMM people probably thought the route was safe to travel
Because of all God fearing people living in the area

I was just reading about the Mormon Madoff, a bishop who duped

His ward and family, including his own mother 21 million dollars
With a Ponzie scheme and he spent 12 years in prison.
Using the argument on Facebook we cannot explain then why
Bad things also happen to good people and good things happen to
Bad people.

Primarily life is a crap shoot. The absolute truth however is that good or bad no one is getting out alive

A Mormon said, "If the victims in the Las Vegas incident were observing the Sabbath day, they would have been safe," which is another way of saying," Heavenly Father is an asshole--you better watch your back and do exactly as he says--sort of like any other abusive father."

Yeah, 'cause mass murderers only shoot people on the 'sabbath,' not on Saturdays (which actually IS the 'sabbath').

I mean, this guy wouldn't have acted if the concert was only on Saturday night, right? RIGHT???!!!

Asshats.

Well, you have to admit, (s)he's right. And the Amish know that if people were observing God's laws, they wouldn't die in car wrecks. And the Muslims know that if people observed God's laws, they wouldn't die of skin cancer.... So, yeah. Blame the victims. In the name of God.

So, is enforcement of Mosaic law going to be a new Elders quorum activity?

Same logic applies if they had been metal fans rather than country music fans....

Maybe the real lesson is, "Keep your eyes open on Wednesdays?" :)

I was this asshole. I was scared to death and trying to make sense of the world and find some way to be safe and avoid tragedy. I didn't say it out loud, but in my mind God would keep me safe if I did everything right. The main message I got from countless hours of indoctrination was, being good is the only way not to have horrible things happen to you. When things were going well, I could feel a bit smug and slightly safe. It's probably what kept me in for so long after I didn't really believe much of it at all--FEAR.

I rarely prayed as a Mormon adult. I tried to fly under the radar. If I asked God for something, he'd assess my life for worthiness to be blessed and that was never a good idea. Mormon indoctrination had me feeling like I was a dirty raisin on God's shoe. If he noticed me, surely he'd scrape me off. I don't remember specifically feeling like victims were being punished by God for wickedness, but I surely thought being super Mormon would protect me from harm.

The world is still a scary place. Now I attribute things to natural consequences and, mostly, random happenings.
