I got it about 4 years ago, it took me 36 years to get my Masters in it. I suggest getting yours.

I am not minimizing the incredible pain that TSCC has inflicted on all of us. It seems to be never ending, especially when people you love are still afflicted with belief.

But kicking the habit of letting how other people think and feel about your behavior dictate how you are going to live your life is very freeing and empowering. That does not mean you don't make allowances for the people who allow you in their life, and visa-versa. But stop curating who you are for people. It is a waste of time and energy.

Saucie and I had our degrees before we met. It was part of the mutual attraction, I think, that we'd both majored in it and gotten it right. It's even cooler that we didn't emphasize the same elements of the degree...

FTR, I wasn't really trying to cause confusion about the acronym.

Rather, I was hoping to cause self reflection into what drives us to make the thousands of decisions we make every day, and how much effort we put into presenting a face to the world that is acceptable to a standard that is completely arbitrary.

The teaching of this behavior from a young age is why, proportionally, there are so many mormons and former mormons that are in the entertainment industry.

It is also why mormons are some of the best in the world at confidence and affinity scams.

Mormons teach their young from infancy to lie. But that is another topic entirely.

I like to think that there is an edumacation process in mormonism that teaches TBMs that, "ghawd wouldn't have me want something I shouldn't oughta have, so whatever it takes to get it..."
