A generation ago, with cystic fibrosis, this would have been highly unlikely. She's not even a transplant candidate at this point. She has better and worse weeks, but all things considered, she's functioning amazingly well and doing most child-rearing tasks for our two-year-old and three-year-old in addition to holding some duties as a founding partner in a law firm. She has managed to keep her weight at least up to the mid-90's for almost a year. She's only 5'2", so mid-90's isn't all that bad.

I am blessed.

Happy Birthday, and Way To Go!!! for your wife...

...and I am very happy for you and for your two kids.

(And I can't even imagine being a founding partner in a law firm, so tell her that someone she has no idea even exists thinks she is outstanding!)
