Divert resources away from family toward church
Vote for Nixon, Reagan and Trump
Cheat on your taxes
Take investor's money and run
Lie in "worthiness" interviews
Undermine your children's education with indoctrination
Punish children who fail to believe in Mormonism
Bully your wife and make her beg for grocery money

I tried to tell this to Daniel Peterson online (bad idea, I know). He got all pissed off and suddenly there was another poster who chastised me. I wonder if that was him.

I [would] could never be a "good mormon" (which barely amounts to a bad man). I settled, since deciding as a teenager, to be a good man, that a mormon I must not be.

A few decades of 'inactivity' [which amounted to much activity], a good friend wiser than I on the subject, and RFM (and a few months of immersion), and knowing more about Mormonism than 10,000 of the highest mormons (and I would know a "good mormon" if I saw one and, low and behold, there are none) and I got my young wish, to NOT BE lds.

Now I'm a 'good mormon without the troubles and heartaches of actually being punished by having to be one.
