I just got some fresh cider. Later I'll have vodka and say rude things about trolls.

I don't need vodka to do that. It comes naturally.

I'm going to try and make homemade eggnog.
Any opinions on rum vs bourbon?

Both, and that means separate and combined!

I'm a rum fan.....not enough experience with bourbon to weigh in. Gonna rectify that this winter.

Eggnog and Crown vanilla bourbon...just skip the eggnog!

Okay, first batch was with rum.
I only used 4 oz. of rum in a recipe that's supposed to make 6-7 cups, so weak ABV-wise. I could faintly taste the rum, but it wasn't over powering. I could have used more nutmeg and maybe a bit of clove.

Don, I think I might try brandy in the eggnog for a future batch.
