A new day for the LDS. The old president has died and a new
president is taking the helm.

Thomas S. Monson was 90--very aged. So the old are out and the
new are in.

I expect the new president to breathe some life into an
organization that has been lead by a man in his eighties for the
past decade. Now with vibrant new blood things are really going
to change. With a new generation in charge expect surprises.

Funny, since the "new" young president taking over for the 90 year-old-very-aged Monson is 93 :)

Finally! Someone old enough to have enough experience to really stick it to the gays and women properly! And the men. Nobody will escape now. And with his trusty side-kick Wendy, there is no stopping them now. Oh, and her trusty side kick Sheri. What a trinity! What a God Head!

I don't know much about Russell yet, but here is his better half and she looks like she could take anyone to task if she felt so inclined. Just look at her and imagine that you have just asked her, ever so politely, to fix you a grill cheese sandwich because you are hungry. By her looks, you ain't gonna get that sandwich, but will be condescendingly invited to make your own damn sandwich.

If you dare, look into her eyes. Does she appear to be a nice woman? Or, a woman just waiting to tear someone a new orifice? I can't see her "supporting" her man as he takes the wheel. But I can see her whispering in his ear everything she thinks he needs to be saying and doing.

"Ball-buster" comes to mind. *shudder*

So, since she's a woman, it is her responsibility to fix you a sandwich if you're hungry? And if she doesn't, she's "not nice" and "waiting to tear someone a new orifice"?

Intimidated by what you have inferred from a photo to be a strong woman, are you?

While it's not always a calumny to state that you can tell when someone thinks of him/herself first, in her case it's the simple truth. She *appears* to be the kind who has as her chief goal, planting her foot on your back or head, as you are prostrated. She has been a real force in her husband's life. I would bet good money that without her, he'd be a simple retired doctor, enjoying his sunset and damn near dusk years. Believe me, she's got his priesthood in a jar, in her purse.

I can say this because I took Prof. Allawilliger B. Alliwalliger's "What you can tell when a woman has fixed her hair just exactly as she intended" class at California Poly Pacoima.

Baura, sorry it took so long for someone to recognize that your post was tongue in cheek. Unless there is a palace revolt, the "new" is older as noted above.

I'm flying in to Salt Lake for when the First Quorum of the 70 and the holy Apostles meet to vote on the new Prophet, Seer, and Revelator, and his divine election is announced. I want to be one with the joyous throng in Temple Square to cheer when the plume of white smoke goes up from the Temple, announcing, "We have a new President!"
