"Overcome Trust Issues and Heal Doubt" - That would be "Resolve Concerns" in the Missionary Guide.
Also, the parts about logic vs. emotion were expounded upon a lot by my mission president. Commit them early and often. Don't give them time to think. If they start thinking, that will allow the Adversary (common sense) to act.
BTW, I use the Commitment Pattern on my son when I want him to do something he doesn't want to do. I hope he never finds out where that comes from or that I'm using a brainwashing technique on my kid. "WILL YOU clean up your toys and pick up all those little pieces of paper around the living room?"
