The Most Beautiful Place of Worship in Every State

Hartford Connecticut LDS Temple (Connecticut)

With formal gardens in front, the Hartford Connecticut LDS Temple boasts an elegant entry. Once inside, this new temple (open since 2016) features gold Art Deco-like railings around the bapistry area and soaring ceilings with crown molding in the Celestial Room.

"Art Deco-like" .... fake art deco ?
Is this a metaphor for mormonism ?

Well, as mormon temples go, this one is on the better-looking side.

And clearly the article isn't going by what goes on inside...!

Ridiculous ... there have to be better looking churches in Connecticut. Look at some of the other places in other states featured in the article, some fantastic architecture on display by renowned architects. The Hartford Temple is just another cookie-cutter nuTemple with superficial distinguishing elements. I wonder if the writers of the article even know how the church goes about designing and building its newer temples.

They picked the Salt Lake Temple for the best house of worship in Utah which at least makes more sense (though I'd pick the Manti or St. George temples, ymmv.

a too-large steeple.

Looking at the rest of the choices for this "award" leaves me very unimpressed.
