Daniel we don't know why but the church helps out and we are here to find the lost sheep!and we sacrifice a lot! Me many leave even missionaries do! Daniel we aren't concerned with those who leave! But with those who are not members of the church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints!

TSCC can('t) afford it; they want (member$) missionaries to work even harder (so they can have more $ to play with). Plus the "church" is notoriously CHEAP.

They are going to tell the salesmen - and women - this, but I will.

The LDS church is in reality a for-profit enterprise. How are they going to make any money paying for missions? The missionaries aren't exactly pulling in any rich tithe payers. Most converts nowadays are needy and looking for some kind of help. About 85% leave soon after baptism. Those that remain tend to be seen as drains, although they do contribute by providing another statistic for the church to brag about (We are growing!).

Yep but they are not and fine with us! Mormons are annoying when they knock on your door all the time
