Did you see the article about a mother jailed for baptizing her daughter?

She was sent to jail for a week for doing having her baby daughter baptized during a custody battle. The picture looked like a catholic rite.

I'm in a hurry and don't have time to link or report more details. Perhaps someone else will do it.

Well, ok.
But she wasn't jailed for baptizing her daughter.
She was jailed for ignoring a court ruling -- contempt of court.

That's what I got as well. She could've taken the kid to a synagogue and gotten herself arrested.

Mormons often ignor court rulings to baptize 8 year olds.

They almost always get away with it. This case shows that the non or exmo spouse has recourse.
