Been reading george orwell's book 1984 and it is pretty d@mn good so far. Never really heard of the doublethink concept but i think this definitely happened to me in the church. Good is bad or bad is good. It's pretty cool that the main character is starting to actually think for himself and now is in a dangerous position which is exactly how you feel when you are trying to snap out of mormon programming or even society programming, well it's how i felt. Definitely felt like i was going against mormon god(big brother).

I imagine a Mormon paleontologist who on Sunday believes that
there was no death on the earth before 4000 years ago, but spends
the rest of the week digging fossils.

There you go, that's a d@mn good example.
