They don't call them Lamanites anymore. They have lost their special status in the eyes of the church. Missionaries may still visit and try to get them interested, but they are mere Asians now. No different from anyone else. Mayans may still be specially regarded, but they don't carry the needed DNA either.

Don't listen to Rod Meldrum or Wayne May tell you that some Heartland tribes carry Hebrew DNA. Those two guys are scam artists.

Native Americans separated from any Asian Population alot longer than the Jews, Europeans, and Arabs. Native Americans were genetically isolated for 36,000 years in Alaska, so they are not Asians. Europeans on the otherhand still occupy the Asian mainland, and have taken in wave after wave of foreigners, like Africans for thousands of years and are phylogenetically closest to the african race on one side, and East Asian on the other. And if NAs arent special why are European Americans obsessed over them and their Origins?

They should leave them alone, native Americans have had a very rough history and don't need to be pulled in this so called church

Native Americans are still special, because they are the "First Peoples" on American soil. We broke our treaties and didn't pay them for their land (Roger Williams excepted). Therefore, I believe we as a nation still owe them some assistance. The LDS church, however, appears to have dropped them and the Polynesians like a hot potato. They used to provide special supports, but wrongful DNA has a way of making Mormon hearts grow cold.

The DNA of our native people is 99.6% Asian. They still have leftover Siberian-like customs. To me, that means they are Asian, though now are our indigenous American people.

I think it depends. My reserve enacted a 'no trespassing' policy just a couple years ago; though this was more so aimed at trying to curb the opioid problem, rather than actually deal with proselytizers.
