Mormons believe that salvation is an aggregation of correct habits.

Yeah. And as a bonus . . . a chance to thumb their noses at those who didn't get "aggregated" enough? No fun to win if there is no loser.

...right down to correct sex habits, involving multiple teenage girls. Amen.

And Mormons are so proud to be humble.

I think that's not entirely correct.

Mormons believe that exaltation is an aggregation of correct habits.

Salvation from the fall is attained through faith in jesus, evidence by good works, and baptism and such.

It's the distinction between salvation and exaltation that trips people up sometimes.

It's still all BS.

Yep. Cease to be a human and you've got it made. Even as a tortured TBM, I thought about what I'd be like if I managed to do all the good things the church wanted me to do and none of the bad things it didn't--that future looked bleak and joyless.

The best Mormons I've known, including me when I was there, are a dour lot.

That natural man, you know, the one who is an enemy to God--that's where the energy for life comes from.

Appetites.

Passions.

Exuberance.

Joy.

Those things aren't nurtured by sitting in a three hour meeting block being told you are scum.

Their habits are correct and yours are not.
