What did Jesus do that Mormons can't or won't?

Drink wine for starters. Joseph trumps Jesus.

How about hang out with societally unsavory characters?

Throw out money changers in the temple?

There is getting nailed to a cross...

The Mormons do hang out with societally unsavory characters all the time, even worship them. Oaks? Bednar? Wendy? Or did you mean like, women, gays and intellectuals?

And, Mormons think they are nailed to a cross. Perhaps only symbolically this time, but still . . . That's why they are all hot with this so-called "Freedom of Religion" movement. The corners of the persecution card they play are getting pretty dog-eared.

No need to throw money changers out of the temple. That would be the COB.

They could come up with as many fishes and loaves as they wanted to feed the hungry. But, as you say, they just won't.

And raising the dead? I think the Mormons aren't all that keen to have Monson back either.

Raising the dead. That is a really good one. Wish I had thought of that. They just work for them presuming Jesus can't save them himself.

As Jesus loved people love one another? I don't think they do really well at that. I've never felt a lot of love from home teachers and leaders.

Live as a faithful Jew. Speak Aramaic. Treat women like first-class citizens. Die on the cross. Resurrect. Drink wine. Feed the multitudes. Reject earthly power. Forgive His enemies. Remain silent when asked "what is truth?" Heal the sick and raise the dead without requiring church membership/tithing. Chase out the money-changers. Tell his followers to look within to find the Kingdom of God. Not marry.

You have to know that Jesus was Jewish. First, he went in to his father's business. His mother thought he was god and he thought she was a virgin.
