Please join us this coming Sunday, April 8, at 2 PM at 195 W 900 S Holiday Square in St George. This program is one you won't want to miss:

John M. Rector is a licensed psychologist, currently practicing in Salt Lake City. For fifteen years, he was on the faculty at BYU-Idaho where, in addition to providing psychotherapy to students in the university's counseling center, he taught an "under-the-radar" course on the psychology of religion. This class introduced students to thinkers such as Ernest Becker, James Fowler, Carl Jung, Walter Wink, Joseph Campbell, among others.

John is the author of numerous articles having to do with the interface of psychology with Mormon culture and theology. In 2014, he published his first book with Oxford University Press, The Objectification Spectrum: Understanding and Transcending our Diminishment and Dehumanization of Others.

Upon becoming empty-nesters, John and his wife, Kirsten, left BYU-Idaho in late 2014 in the name of greater cultural diversity and personal growth. John is the 8th of 9 children born to Hartman and Connie Rector, the former being a General Authority for the LDS Church for 26 years.

As usual, there will be time afterwards for question-answer, as well as a social hour with light refreshments.

Wish we could post a You-Tube, because of Johns employment suspect might be best to stay under the radar somewhat.

Am really looking forward to his lecture. Hope as many as possible can come.

Would love to be there.

It sounds like it's going to be a dynamite talk.

Hopefully your group will be as big and going strong by the time I finally get to retire there, lol. It's on my bucket list of things to do. The speakers you have come give talks are amazing!
