Does Romania have good hospitals?

Although Romania is one of the countries American students, those who cannot get into medical school in North America, go to for medical school (part of the appeal is that Romanian is a relatively easy language to learn if that person already knows Spanish, French, etc.)...this bit of knowledge doesn't seem to fit with what I just read on: Student Doctor Network:

I would read through this site...if I wanted to go to medical school, after reading this, I would not go to Romania.

I am sorry for the missionary sister who has encephalitis, and I hope she is treated properly there, and that she recovers fully.

Yes they have good hospitals.

My question is....was she denied medical care or counseled to not seek medical care by the mission home?

That illness tends to come on suddenly.

I hope she recovers completely.

I think they are fine.

A friend of mine was born in Romania and traveled there at intervals. She has complex health issues, and immigrated back to Europe seeking lower cost and more comprehensive medical care for herself. She decided on Great Britain but would have been okay with Romania.
