I met Mr. Ermey when he came to Salt Lake for a gun show or something. He really hated Bill Clinton.

I was very sad to hear the news. I love Full Metal Jacket. I love all of his Glock commercials too, very funny. They’re all on you tube. I didn’t know that he was only 74. He was in Vietnam about 14 months or so. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BgH0i-0zreo&feature=share

Shummy, those are good videos. I love behind the scenes and the making of good movies , especially when they show real coverage of real events,
I also like his Lock and Load series. We watched it all the time, as my husband was still in the military then; it had a lot of good weapons and aircraft episodes. He especially liked the C-130 Gunship episode.

Having been in the army during Vietnam when I saw Full Metal Jacket I was amazed how accurate it portrayed Basic.Sorry to lose "GUNNY".
