Shame-free, Guilt-free, Crap-free Mother's Day Recovering from Mormon Perfectionism
Be sure to join us this coming Sunday, May 13th, at 2:00 PM for our final monthly meeting before the summer break. We will be at 195 W 900 South in the Holiday Square shopping center off Bluff Street. Help us celebrate Mother’s Day with a fun presentation, socializing and food.
Leanne Worwood is a recovering perfectionism addict who has spent thousands of dollars on counseling and medication to control her panic attacks, depression, and OCD tendencies. She is also a wife, mother, grandmother, school teacher, writer, and public speaker whose highest value is authenticity (as exhibited in sentence one).
Leanne (who was a student of Michael Quinn’s) will describe how her journey to gain emotional health forced her out of the LDS church.
The only Bluff Street I know is in St. George. That's too far away.
I wonder if there's a way the rest of us can get hold of some of Leanne Worwood's writings. Maybe she has a website. Maybe she'll do some self-promotion at the lecture, and you can pass along her information. I would appreciate that! :)
