...and the poor clueless ignorant indoctrinated kids have no idea what *actually* goes on in there.
If they did, thousands would walk to it and give it their middle finger.

I have noticed that teens throughout the recent years compared to the Age of Isis and Inana of my youth have more "temple" indoctrination. Baptisms for the dead were not alive (ha, ha) back in the day nor were temple-awe-inspiring-excursions where we traveled to another city on our agenda.

I did head up to the SL temple to sit outside on the lawn with friends or a boyfriend during general conference, where I, and I think none of us, listened to the speakers. That would be b o r i n g. We had our own "conference" going on which was a ton more fun. I think we even picnicked too, but not sure my memory is right on that one.

Would I have "walked" with friends to a rededication? Sure, but only if we did not have to pull a handcart, or say, have to stay ultra-reverent and never hold hands or steal a kiss. :)

Beware of large numbers that end with a few zeros...

I couldn't stomach reading the whole article but I'm thinking the chance of an accurate count approaches... those same 0's they reported.

just sayin'

Now if they had just dressed up as the Sons of Helaman we'd be getting somewhere.

Pioneer children sang as they walked
And texted
And facebooked
And snapchatted

I wonder how many of them were FORCED to go by their parents?

Seriously. Does this sound like something you would go to, voluntarily??

I chose to believe that the majority of the kids had nothing religious going on in their minds as they performed for themselves, their peers and their parentals.

They all had to be somewhere at that time, and 'together' worked for them.

You can estimate the crowd size by looking at the area of the lawn. From satellite imagery, the lawn including walkways is about 300 ft x 150 ft. The Jacobs method estimates one person every 4.5 sq ft - if they're standing elbow to elbow, which these kids aren't. A sparser crowd would be about one person every 10 sq ft, ergo about 4,500 persons.

That said, there are obvious gaps in the crowd, and the photograph is staged to maximize the appearance of density. If the LDS Church had wanted to take a picture which showed actual crowd density, an overhead photo taken by drone could have been obtained easily enough.

How many there know that Hitler and Eva Braun were sealed in the Jordan Temple Temple. Fine examples of Christ like principles
Just don’t let any gays near the temple. They ruin everything
