I'm hoping to commute (2-up) with my wife on a motorcycle tomorrow -- fighting a good stiff wind adds to the adventure. Interestingly enough I learned to love wind in Wisconsin where the image in the article was taken.
He said that the storm tore their nice outdoor canopy into shreds and even blew the tops off the jack-o-lanterns and filled them with water. My parents love their canopy, and it was a big loss to them. He said there were 30 foot choppy waves in Lake Michigan. Wow.
Yeah, we're in midwest too.... we were without lights for a while in the middle of the night and this morning. Only scary thing was Mom tripping over me. Sux to be a weenie dog in the dark.

That was one of the worst commutes I've had yet living here...wind was sideways and whipping at you. Umbrellas were breaking everywhere for the train commuters standing at the platforms. I've never felt my commuter train rock in the wind before - that was a trip!
