"In Chinese philosophy, yin and yang describes how seemingly opposite or contrary forces may actually be complementary, interconnected, and interdependent in the natural world . . ." ____From some source
Of course the Chinese also have entire cities who only make socks 24/7 and that is your life. All yin and no yang makes Chang a dull boy.
Takes two to tango. Resistance builds strength. If the black and white didn't exists there would be no way to make gray. Opposites attract so two grays could be a bit boring? A black and white a bit antagonistic and arrogant?
I think of myself as gray but deep down I may be a closet black and white.
Some people can't dream in color. It's a beige world for them.
Some people can't live in empathy. It's a sour world for them.
Black-and-white thinking requires less, well, thinking. There's less to figure out, fewer judgment calls, no nuance. And you get to feel absolutely right all the time.
It is my considered opinion that there is no such thing as pure black or white. Everything has shades and to try for purity of color here is an exercise in futility!
