Whatever happened to Butterfield Ford?

They built a multi-million facility, and POOF. Gone.

It got bought by Larry H. Miller. They have their bigger Ford dealer about 4 miles away. They basically bought their competitor just to shut them down.

Larry H Miller bought the original Jordan High on State Street (my alma mater) and he said in his "book" that he bought it so he could tear it down, because in his days playing high school basketball, Jordan always beat his school, West High (IIRC).

He built Jordan Commons with the movie theaters and an office building and put up a facade of the original building in the same place on state street. Which was decent of him. I think he got some bad publicity after he tore it down.

I don't buy that many cars but will always make it a point to not buy from his company.
