I venture Hie will love his daughter no matter what she chooses as her life's path(s). And his love for her will be as close to infinite as is possible for finite mortals.

Love is not dependent on religious belief. And as many of us know, religious belief often leads to more conditional love.

Hi Jay, I feel confident that Lot’s Wife nailed what his response would be.

Although Hie and I differ on whether or not there’s a God, he has never attacked me, personally, or questioned my sincerity. He has, on many occasions, caused me to think about my beliefs and opened me up to be more accepting of folks the Mormon-me would have shunned.

Loving relationships include mutual respect and tolerance of differences of opinion. Disagreements over religion, in solid marriages and families, are contained within a much larger and more solid structure.
