Friend has been harassing Ld$,inc chat types and local member leaders about their use of Olive Oil. Basically - they are telling members/Priesthood types the oil for consecration must be Pure Olive Oil - not a blend. He pointed out the locals he knows are consecrating oil in Priesthood and filling the vials - with blended oil which is not Pure, but also includes Rapeseed Oil, Sunflower oil and others. As a result they changed their tune about "purity" - and say it doesn't matter what oil is used, it is faith that is important.

So, he got a can of 3in1 oil and while in a meeting he was able to get ahold of a few keychains with vials, emptied the Blended Olive Oil out and filled them with 3in1 in its place.

His figuring is the 3in1 will help The Father, Son and Holy Ghost to do their job better. He is keeping quiet about it and waiting to hear if any who use the stuff for blessings notice anything.

He does go to meetings to keep peace in the family and keeps quiet most of the time. When he does speak up it is like this - when absurdity takes over.

I am positive and have absolutely no doubt that 3in1 oil will do the job just as well as the blended olive oil. The question I have is does it smell different like something out of the garage.

I'm guessing that 3in1 oil doesn't get rancid, and that's a good thing.

A rabbit's foot would work just as well.

Wasn't particularly lucky for the rabbit

OK, I can dig this.

Question: Would the oil make a click-clack sound when they pour it out of the vial? 3in1 in the little cans does and I'm thinking it might be a property of the oil.

Wow!! What a neat, but slippery memory you dredged up!

Would that be like the oil used on the tin man in the wizard of oz?

A devout Catholic couple wanted children, but were having trouble conceiving. One night before having sex, they knocked on the priest's door and begged him to bless them with oil. The priest did not happen to have any concecrated olive oil handy, but he found a can of 3in1, and blessed them with that.

Nine months later the woman gave birth to triplets. They happily went to the priest and shared their joy. He then confessed to them that he had blessed them with 3in1 oil.

"Oh," said the man, "I'm so glad you didn't use WD40!"

I'm thinkin' WD-40 would call down blessings from God, Jesus, Joseph Smith, Moroni, Nephi, Mormon, Lehi, Zelph, and 32 other heavenly big-wigs....

Personally, I would use 90-weight. It smells a bit like gogonzola. What's not to like?

If I consecrate my canola oil, will it make better omelettes?
