The Ark Encounter is self-defeating

Every once in a while we pass an advertisement for "The Ark Encounter". It seems to have taken several dozen people working with gigantic logs and modern technology tobuild this supposed replica of Noah's Ark. It kind of makes it seem impossible for Noah and his family to have built this thing. Talk about defeating your own message.

There doesn't seem to be a lot of rational thinking that goes on there. And no matter, it's not attracting many visitors.

It's prolly from the zip line

If I were a local kid, I'd beg to go there just for the zip line unless a Six Flags was nearby.

Having previously wrestled with bible literalism, I recall just seeing the improbability of this and similar stories (Lehi's ship, Jaredite barges, etc) simply as reassurance of god's power. Every conspiracy theory has a silly loophole for its adherents to rush to, at least for a while.
