So 95% of their membership need not apply.

It's a ploy to attempt to make them more white and delight-some.

This does not appear that the corporation is moving in the direction of the Book of Mormon being inspired fiction. They are staying, for now, with it being a literal history. This film will get some interesting reviews.

I doubt hardly anyone but Mormons will ever see it.

There was a time that priesthood were strongly discouraged from maintaining long hair. Sure, they weren't directly told to get the hell out of the EQ, but they were definitely passed over for leadership callings. I don't think many were holding TR's either. However, when some of their daughters were getting married in the temple, there was a change. Voila, no more scruffy beards and long hair.

Modern science has sure given us some tools to make it easier to get to the truth of the matter on whether or not our beloved gospel in this true Church of ours is true :) Seeing how super honest and informed the people are in each of the Wards worldwide about the Church's finances, statistics, doctrines, and other history is just icing on the cake :) Naturally one of the strongest evidences for proving the Book of Mormon is true is to do DNA studies on the Native Americans and see those genetic markers of their Jewish cousins in there. It seems like one of the best ways to do casting for these productions is to do DNA tests to make sure they picked ones with Jewish markers. Thank goodness the Lamanites have been blossoming as a rose. Only an anti-Mormon could suppose that there aren't hundreds of thousands of temple recommend holders worldwide with these sacred genetic markers in their DNA :)

For sure DNA is one of the things that really helps a person see the truth about the Book of Mormon and the whole story of ancient America.

To me this indicates that they are still signed onto the myth that America (and Polynesia) were populated by people from the Middle East. I thought they had re-thought that.
