Not the Book of Mormon but same principle at work - and it took root after one sentence:

“During the holy month of Ramadan, in which Muslims fast from sunrise to sunset, I decided to read an actual Quran (not something from the internet). I asked my convert friend, who invited me to Iftar (breaking of the fast during Ramadan), if I could borrow her religious text. That night, I got home and started to read. My heart became full of light as I read the first sentence.”

OMG, that article is so full of nonsense.

Like this:

"I recently learned that there is scientific evidence Jesus was not born on Christmas."

No, dear, there isn't any such thing.

It only gets worse from there...

I agree, the writer may be more than a little confused?

"the Bible had missing books. It upset me because I had put all my faith in the Bible, but it wasn’t even 100 percent there. I learned that the Quran had never been changed. So my trying to learn about the truth of Islam to convert my Muslim friends ended up having the opposite effect. "

WTH? The Koran is so much newer like the 5th century, give or take. The Bible is at least 3-4 thousand years old and written by many people over many generations.

"Islam teaches that God created the universe out of nothing."

Umm... obviously nothing comes from nothing. There always has to be something before a creation can happen.

How many angels can dance on the point of a needle?

Um...the "oldest" bible books were written around 2500 years ago, at the earliest. Some *may* have been based on older oral traditions, but all we can do about that is speculate...
