Ok I am so fed up getting texts from my cousin who is still in the church of Christ! She says stuff like it is interesting that many cultures have music and music is forbidden in the church of Christ or where did you find that?

Or it is interesting again, I deleted all her texts! I am so fed up with my family members who are still church of Christ members! They are very judgemental and it is either their way or not! You are either in or going to hell! So glad I left ! Now I don't need any religion at all

You need a new life. Why you participate in so much that angers you is beyond me. Take control of your life. Seems like everyone is living your life for you as you will not set and enforce boundaries.

You can also tell your cousins and everyone else that you dont want to discuss religion. Then dont. I agree that you need to set boundaries and enforce them.

Instrumental music is forbidden in the church of Christ, but they have lots of singing.

At one time I belonged to the Church of Christ .... and I was called on to give the lesson of why there was no instrumental music. I closed my lesson with the last Psalm in which all instruments are included! The preacher, at the next service, disowned my remarks. I did not remain much longer a member. However, I should note that most of the members told me privately that they agreed with me. By the way, the Pilgrims also eschewed instrumental music.
