Missed opportunities - I blindly misjudged them

So I have had the opportunity to hang out with Phil and/or Dave Alvin various times and purposely didn't get to know them.

Lately I've been listening to their 2014 Grammy nominated album Common Ground and watching interviews.

I dismissed each of them based on something I can't even remember - except I didn't like the orange color of Phil hair in the 70's.
