Close your eyes and listen to how this exec talks in the Twitter video. I initially heard it playing in the other room and I could have sworn my friend was playing a conference talk.

Did you feel the spirit speaking to your soul too?

Why, because the speaker is crying?

Her tears seem real to me, and her tone of voice sincere. That's completely unlike the GA drone and fake emotion that are broadcast at conference time.

Just because someone speaks with emotion and doesn't agree with your political position, it doesn't make them equivalent to a cult leader.

It's a cult anytime someone "worships" any person or organization--whether left, right, business, government, ideology or religion.

Google is a cult. Is that bad? It’s a much better cult than Apple.

What worship?

I think you're projecting your own political biases onto others.

There is "worship" at Google. I've been there. I've seen it.
It's not for "Hilary," though. Nor for the "left."
Nor for anything except Google.

So the premise that the Google exec "worships" a candidate is absolutely incorrect. That exec was like millions of others, who wanted "her" chosen candidate to win. When that didn't happen, she got a bit emotional. No surprise, and nothing different than anything that happens on the "right."

I also didn't detect the sing-song, slow-talking, droning speech patterns I hear constantly in GC in that clip. Which actually surprised me, since those are techniques known by millions of public speakers, and used by them, all over the world. Not just mormons. They're taught in public-speaking classes as a way to get your audience "on your side." But they weren't in evidence in that clip, even though I'd bet real money the google exec knows about them and how to use them.

We. She kept talking about "we."

How bloody parochial of her.

"What? You mean there is a world outside of Google USA? Who knew? Why weren't we told?"
