I attended the first or one of the first conferences back in the late 90's. It was held in Las Vegas and I was just newly out. Meeting Eric and Richard Packham and others who were so confident about the falseness of all things mormon was so important for me to see!
I know there are many groups around the country that meet on a regular basis. It's not quite the same as the conferences, though, I know.
I give a great deal of thanks for the hard work that Sue and others have done for YEARS to organize these events. Perhaps someone will step in and continue the tradition.
I couldn't get to all of them, but I always enjoyed the podcasts.
Maybe RFM could create an online conference, much like the big financial companies do for their clients. I like those a lot. The speakers and subjects and times are announced in advance, and clients can register for the classes up until the last hours. Clients can submit questions for the speakers, to be answered at the end of each class session.
I'm not sure how all that works, or how much it costs. They are free, and I suppose those big corporations have more money than RFM.
Actually a webinar may not be a bad idea. In my working career I participated in many vendor and project webinars. The client versions were always free. I do not know the costs of the host pricing. It probably is minimal.
