A propos the recent GC, can anyone tell me if there are any women in high-ranking positions that make important decisions, set policy, etc?

Or are most of them--as I suspect--in positions traditionally associated with women, i.e. "caring", providing for others, etc?

There are no women is decision-making positions.

There are no women in positions traditionally associated with women, at least in the upper echelons. They do not care, or nurture, or provide for anybody.

Their job is to be PR shills for Rusty.

The church does not elevate women to decision-making positions, but the dynamics of some relationships are such that women unofficially make the actual decisions for wards or stakes by telling their husbands what decisions to make. He!!, it's possible that Wendy is making decisions that impact the entire church.

Actually they make the biggest decision - when and how to have sex, which drives everything else.

I feel so very sorry for you, for whatever has happened in your life that has produced such a jaded and sad view of women.

And men.

Thank you for calling him out, ificouldhietokolob. He conveniently forgets that married women in the U.S. didn't officially own their bodies until 1993, when marital rape was banned in all 50 states. So, it's only been 25 years since married women have officially had the right to decide "when and how to have sex."

I don't think women have ever NEEDED TO 'officially' have "the right" to decide when and how to have sex. The problem has always been with whom.

I agree. My comment below was that women are consigned to only influence and from their position as mate. Sad that sexual selection and social Darwinism are so implied to mean women have decision-making positions that they don't.

Depends upon if you include sexual positions.

What kind of question is that? Um yes

Do you read at all
Ever change the station
Your only self-location
Without having to at all

Just think... whether you are a man, a woman, neither, both, don't know or don't care, and you decide, because you are alive, what DIFFERENCE does it make? Okay. That's important!

Everything is a decision. Make yours... and let the girls make theirs. Your mother made some important ones.

Next time try goggles.
We study, and live, and party, RELIGIOUSLY, for years!
And LIVE IT, and still you ask such simple questions
I'd suggest books, movies, a computer, and living
Not necessarily in that order
