"Mormon" would be just fine if Mormons didn't go around annoying people, didn't do weird and even insulting things. The world wouldn't misunderstand Mormons and their beliefs if Mormons did a better job explaining themselves—without being annoying, weird or insulting. Now they make "Mormon" even worse by trying to disown it instead of embracing it. Real f-ing inspired, Rusty.

I agree 100 percent. They have created the connotation; it doesn't matter the word they use to refer to themselves, the word is arbitrary.

Mormons have a history of creating their own problems and feeling persecution from others because of their own behaviors.

Naw, it was always "negative."
The mormons just didn't think so.
Now they've agreed -- it's negative.
Trouble is, what they're trying to replace it with isn't any more positive. It's trying to put lipstick on a pig -- the pig remains.
