The Exmormon Foundation had set up an “Occupy Salt Lake City” style camp in historic Brigham Young Park ~
Down in the RfM Forum the Apostates were entertaining themselves in the usual Apostate fashion – poking trolls with sticks, getting drunk and talking about sex ~
Eric and Susan I/S were doing a great job refereeing the circus by employing long handled wooden spoons to make the RfMers behave ~
Susan I/S took a break and made her way over to the car park where the coffee wagon was working its magic. Before she could pour out a cup her phone rang ~
“This is Susan I/S.” ~
“I could have devastated you on my blog this week, but I didn’t.” ~
“Who is this?” ~
“It’s me.” ~
Susan I/S hit the mute button on her iPhone XR and shouted to Eric, “Jesus H. Christ! It’s Daniel C. Peterson.” ~
Susan I/S pressed the mute button again and said, “What do you want?” ~
“I want to come in.” ~
“OK. How do you want to do it?” ~
“I want someone I know to take me in.” ~
“Who?” ~
“He’s about ten feet tall, wears a snake skin vest, mirrored sunglasses and drives a cab.” ~
Susan I/S’s eyes glanced quickly to SL Cabbie who was parked in his usual spot near the coffee wagon because it was always inevitable that one or more drunken Apostates would need a ride ~
“What if we can’t find him?” she says ~
“It’s easy. He’s parked right next to you ~
Click ~
The connection dropped ~
Susan I/S gasped. As she stepped into the shadow of the coffee wagon, she caught a reflection of light on the roof of the Church Office Building across North State Street ~
“He’s on the roof of the COB!” Susan I/S shouted. “Get me an ExMo Recon Team up there immediately!” ~
In a matter of minutes the ExMo Recon Team burst through the roof access door of the Church Office Building and spread out onto the tar covered expanse ~
There, perched close to the roof’s edge amidst the forest of satellite dishes, antennae and bird droppings, sat an empty box of Krispy Kreme® doughnuts mockingly flapping its lid at the Apostates in the breeze ~
