I always gave Dunn a pass. I remember meeting him at a stake youth event waaaaaaay back. Sure he told some whoppers as it turns out but I believe to this day the guy sincerely cared about the youth of the Church. He came off as just a regular guy who cared. The reasons he told those stories are probably many.

Well, Mormonism is a myth that bills itself as the truthiest truth, so it figures he thought he was doing good...in fact more (read embellished to Kolob) good.
Maybe he's better than most, but he always seemed to used his church influence and supposed athlete status to hobnob with the famous. I found that to be off-putting.
