Meetup - Sunday, November 4th, at 10:00am at Harmons (Draper, UT)

We meet upstairs at 10:00 am IN THE CONFERENCE ROOM.

We are almost always the only ones there at the time. Just look for the dark cloud of apostasy hanging over us. Everyone is welcome - some of us get coffee and some of us don't. No RSVP needed. Sometimes it's a big group, sometimes it's small, though we typically have 30 to 40 people. So, come on out and join us--we'll steal a bagel, kick a few puppies, and join in loud laughter at the expense of the Lard's Anointed!!

If you're in Utah (depending on where) come on out on Sunday to our meetup. There's good food, coffee, and conversation.

It's the best free 'therapy' you can get if seeing an actual therapist is maybe not an option right now.

Seriously, many of us that show up have bought the t-shirt and understand where you are coming from. Sometimes being able to meet with other ex-mos in person is a life-saver. Come on out and tell us your story.

Here I am in Utah, and I could not resist the urge to get down to Draper and meet St. Judas 1st Ward. What a great bunch of people to admit and welcome an ex-Christian Scientist from Boston! There was a lot of positive chat, mixed in with sharing sensitive family issues, plus plenty of general LDS-related talk.

The high point was a presentation of official Church statistics showing the erosion of overall LDS membership, and decline in conversions and baptisms, with special attention to the Church's padding of favorable data. This came off "ldsstatistics.com," worth a check. Did you know 2017 was the worst growth rate since 1866? I've seen Christian Science in a demographic death spiral, and offered that as an encouraging, parallel situation.

A very pleasant Sunday morning. So Dave: you're half wrong.* They're apostates--but not "rotten." Charming, friendly, and very savvy apostates, actually!

*On second thought, let's make that "half-right!"
