So much pointless busy work! Ministering, FHE,and how the new 2 hour block is going to put pressure on people to do this at-home study nonsense.

And it’s BORING as heck on top of everything. Church is devoid of any sort of spiritual joy, fun music, laughter....

I’m going crazy, but I’m not in a position to leave right now.

I thought the single’s ward would be better, but it’s even worse in a lot of ways, so I’m stuck in my home ward for now, trying to fake it until I can get a better job and move out of this cursed state.

Drag your feet and miss meetings and skip callings in the meantime.

Tell the singles ward that you attend your home ward ...

Tell the home ward that you attend the singles ward ...

... Then go to the movies!

Drive into the parking lot.

make sure that all is well with the building, the parking lot etc then you can say "yeah, I went to church - it was fine as always".

That way you're not lying to your family.

I think in this religion/church, the meetings have turned from "the means to an end" into "the end."

The whole point of Mormonism nowadays is to attend as many meetings as possible and to get others to attend as many meetings as possible.

What is taught in those meetings? How to motivate yourself and others to attend more meetings.

We all got tired of it. Take my advice and pull down your pants and slide on the ice. Don't let the church drag you down. Rebel by having some fun. At least you know what you want. Good luck with your exit strategy.

There was a woman in the old ward I attended and she would plant seeds during Relief Society. She would asked questions. I already had a big shelf and her questions and other things got me to leave Mormonism.
