The Church is a poor organization to settle allegations of abuse. If abuse can be proven, a bishop has no authority to apply true sanctions. He can't jail anyone. He can't order someone to leave the home. He is powerless to do anything other than ask the perpetrator to stop. A true abuser scoffs at such "authority" for what it is: nothing.
Nothing was mentioned that would justify any abuses in mormonism, except the 'leasthood' (part). It puffs the 'holders up with hot air... that can burn, especially when they lust after such power over [and under] other members, and the potential, and likely, waste, misuse and abuse of [and ignorance of power-sharing] thereof.
