I was never much a fan of country music, but I loved watching that show.

It was funny and entertaining for the whole family.

May he R.I.P. He died of complications from pneumonia.

I remember him seeming so much more real, nicer, cooler, more normal than the adult Mormons around the life.

Legendary, that Roy Clark.

I loved Hee Haw too and still watch it occasionally. Roy was very talented on the guitar. We need more country shows like that.

I remember seeing Roy on the tonight show with Johnny Carson. Roy played with the band for his intro. after that Roy brought his guitar with him while he talked to Johnny. Roy could NOT stop playing that guitar. and then the TS band kept jumping in. Great musician !!!

So Glad that I went to see Roy perform live at a nearby venue about 5 years ago.

I loved Hee Haw as a kid. I thought it embellished life in the rural Southeast. Then in my 30s I moved to rural Alabama and realized it was just a day in the life. I don't know how many times I thought I was actually on the set of Hee Haw and it was not real life. Then I wasn't such a big fan.
