It is pretty pathetic that they have to go out of their way to prove that they are even remotely human. The making sure to post a photo of themselves with some black people you met once really brings it home.

Needed two handkerchiefs to wipe the tears from my eyes and the barf from my lips.

How ironic that they tried to include a bunch of a portraits or scenes that attempt to show them in a good mood, but they failed miserably. Uchtdorf genuinely looks happy because his photos involve his true love of flying airplanes.

There is a family scene of the Bednars in jeans with mountains in the backdrop. It should have been a nice family portrait, but it's not. He has such an ugly scowl; you know the type of face where you're cursing under your breathe. I wonder if he was upset because his vacation schedule was porked due to stopping for a picture that he didn't want to be taken.

A most unhappy looking happy family.

The photos of these guys didn't make me love them more but glad I wasn't trapped in that American dream life of subservience, pseudo power, power trips, trips all over the world, and selling salvation as a service for the dead to the living.

The photos were like obit photos.

I figured out what makes them "rare" photos......they are smiling and appear to be somewhat normal.

Funny that they used the word "rare" to describe them.

Uchtdorf is probably the only one for whom Mormonism was a lifelong blast and offered many opportunities.

It gave him incentive to work himself out of his refugee status during the 1950s and Utah became another home base in the U.S.

Plus, Germany provided the free schooling and paid out generous Deutsche Marks to Germans from the East who had lost their homes.
