This struck my eye. They had 12,000 "youth" at a huge rally to
"celebrate" the rededication of the Idaho Falls Temple.

In one segment a gazillion kids were dressed rather
interestingly. They all had white caps (not too dissimilar to
the "baker's hat" worn in the temple) white tops, and the girls
all had green skirts (at first I thought they were the green
aprons since everything else matched so well.

Did anyone from the board witness this Nuremberg-type rally?

No, it's not a cult. Not at all. Uh-uh, no way.

:)

It's really creepy to see pictures of them dressed that way.

Like a bunch of Communist kids in group formation.

Wow! My first thought is: they all look like they're doing the Pay Lay Ale! :-D

NO. That has to be North Korea.

I just showed the photo to a never-mo co-worker. She said, "Wow. Fanatic!"

I guess with the clothing being a nod to temple dress they are easing the new recruits in little by little --same M. O. as Satan, y'know? Some people call it grooming.

My eyes are now permanently damaged from viewing that photo.

What's with the bleechers being color coded too by attire?

Weird.

I grew up in Idaho Falls. We didn't do anything that creepy back then. Thank God!

TSCC is becoming more fanatic, not less.

you mean not THAT creepy IF a person does not count going into the Idaho Falls temple and getting baptized for dead people, or the adults doing the execution of the temple ceremony penalties (mock throat slashing etc) in the same CREEPY building

How many hungry or homeless families could have been cared for with the money spent on those costumes?

Cool.

I wonder what they did with the costumes afterwards? My guess is the kids didn’t get to take them home.

Mothballed for the Oakland Temple Rededication Youth Performance?

Destroyed?

The temple is in Idaho Falls, the MORmONS gather at the Mini Dome at ISU in Pocatello, over 40 miles away to acknowledge their MORmON Hell house secret handshake palace in Idaho Falls, they should have been forced to jam their MORmON asses into the/their MORmON auditoriums at BYU Idaho/ Ricks not much of College.

I know that the Idaho Falls Temple was rededicated over a year and a half ago, not sure how old this photo is, but it does look like the Holt Arena in Pocatello.

Turns out it's real.

I thought it was too cult-like for me 30 years ago.

It looks like they've amped up the CQ (cult quotient) by several orders of magnitude since then. It's exactly like the "mass games" in North Korea and Mao's China. What are the Mormon leaders trying to tell us?

All this hype, hype and hype...and in a few years when they go through it, all they'll get is some goofy handshakes and some cheap-ass temple slippers.

This is an amazing practical joke. Nelson, Oaks and Eyring must laugh their heads off after something like this. This is like all the youth of the empire gathering to celebrate the Emperor's New Clothes.

Too bad those kids aren't doing something useful, like learning how to filter and test water, learning plumbing, carpentry, etc.

I wonder how many kids, dangerously packed into that crowd, feel completely isolated because of mormonism's policy against gays.

I wonder how many contemplate suicide, believing that God hates them for masturbating.

How many are thinking, "How in the hell can I get out of here?"

If it's a womanly trait to wonder what a bunch of children could be thinking, then why don't wendy and sheri dew look at this picture and see the same thing? Why don't their TBM mothers?

Anyone wonder how many of those kids would die if everyone started running? How many would be crushed?
