Rusty's rebrand is failing. The Associated Press is ignoring his instructions. Oh how that must sting.

The AP's article in today's L.A. Times (p. A-19) is titled "In parts of Utah, Mormons are a minority" and averages one "Mormon" per paragraph.

Final score is Satan 17, Elohim 2.

"Mormons account for 49% of the 1.1 million residents in Salt Lake County – the lowest percentage since at least the 1930s… according to membership figures provided by the [tediously long name] that include active and nonactive members."

"Statewide, Mormons account for nearly 62% of Utah's 3.1 million residents. That number is also inching down… The number of people who are devoted Mormons is probably even lower… about 40% of Mormons are active… the faith has struggled in urban areas.

"Worldwide, church membership growth has decreased in recent years, with 2017 being the slowest in 80 years… The number of convert baptisms in 2017 reached the lowest level in 30 years…"

BYU is described as being "Mormon-owned."

The church's problems are receiving wide publicity. The rolling stone has hit a snag and the caravan is wandering in circles. Eat your vitamin pills!

Flip! Not only does Satan have the best lines in the little temple play, now Russ' pet peeve about the word Mormon has given that old Devil lots of easy victories.
