They're burnt to a crisp, lol! The great issue I see about living on the sun is not so much the heat, but the gravity. According to physics it just wouldn't be feasible. Any object or critter would be a pancake.
Besides that, the sun has no real surface on which to reside. It is a ball of gas. Yes, there is a gradient of density, but plain and simple you can't walk around on it.
