Anyone know anything about Jason Mack?

Joseph Smith's great uncle. Some curious similarities.

In the comments section, someone refers to a FAIR report regarding the first vision(s), in which Jason Mack is mentioned, along with Joseph Smith, Sr. The two men were brothers-in-law.

From my limited perspective, Jason Mack is just another tool to be used by both sides, each for their own purpose.

I don't think Jason Mack is known to many on either side to be honest. I don't recall anything about it on the RFM forum, although there may well be something in the archives.

It is pretty vague. He was Lucy's brother. He went to Canada and started a religious commune to take care of the poor. They didn't have much contact after that.

The only information I know of comes from Lucy's memoir.

It would be cool as hell to go to Canada and poke around. There has to to be some record of the group however fragmentary.

But until I have that research grant (not that I plan on applying) we don't know to much.
